What started as an exciting sport to join as a kid, has grown into a legacy, where students who once trained in our classroom, have now become owners, continuing the tradition and passing on the lessons they once learned.

Our Philosophy
Master Forte’
Dominic Forte’ is a 7th Degree Black Belt & Master Karate Instructor. He began training at the age of 10 and has 40 years of experience as a student, competitor and Instructor.
His lineage includes a long line of distinguished Martial Artists. He was trained by Kickboxing World Champion Grand Master Gordon Franks & Martial Arts Legend Grand Master Pat Worley.
He has competed locally, nationally and internationally. He is a member of the prestigious professional Karate Team - TEAM AKA and is a NASKA World Champion.
He founded Forte’s American Karate over 20 years ago and has trained thousands of students.
Master Forte’ is an enthusiastic Instructor with a reputation for getting results. He has dedicated his life to the Martial Arts and is passionate about passing on what he has learned.
Master Chapin
Brad Chapin is a 6th Degree Black Belt and Master Karate instructor.
Master Chapin began his training under Master Forte’ in 1998 and was the first student of his to earn the rank of 5th Degree and the title of Master.
Master Chapin has spent decades competing locally, nationally and internationally. He has earned the respect of the best Martial Artists in the world on his way to becoming a 2X NASKA World Champion in two separate sparring weight classes.
Master Chapin now focuses his time on running our Wyoming location. He has a passion for leading students to finding their ultimate potential level and confidence both in and outside of the Karate school. He prides himself on teaching high energy, enthusiastic classes that keep students of all ages excited and engaged!
Master Hallberg
Nathanael Hallberg is a fifth degree Black Belt and Head Instructor at our White Bear Lake location.
He started taking classes under Master Forte’ in 1995 starting the “Super Kids” program at just two years old!
Master Hallberg has always enjoyed improving through competition and loves sharing his knowledge with the next generation of Team Forte’.
After reaching fifth degree Black Belt in 2021 Master Hallberg began learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to broaden his martial arts knowledge.
Above everything else, Master Hallberg takes pride in helping his students achieve their full potential through teaching quality classes that are engaging and fun.
